Self-Guided Creative Workshop-Empowerment Video
This Self-Guided Creative Workshop will guide you through the steps for creating your own Empowerment Video. Creating videos can be a wonderful wellness tool. Wings would love to add your video to our Peer Empowerment Video Library so that others may benefit from hearing your story.
Learning Objectives:
- Develop a clear and concise narrative of individual Empowerment recovery tools that assist with ending the cycle of relapse and support recovery and healing of self and others;
- Develop deeper awareness and mindfulness to better understand triggers, awareness, and the use of recovery tools to maintain recovery and to define strengths; and
- Cultivate writing, storyboarding, drawing and spoken word and storytelling as a recovery tool through self-expression, reflection, growth and healing for self and others.
These learning modules were adapted from the SHARE YOUR STORY: A How-To Guide for Digital Storytelling published by SAMHSA. You can download a free copy here.
