In addition to the free Wellness Education courses offered through Wings Across Alabama, CPS may also find these resources helpful for supplementing their CPS and Continuing Education training.

Addiction Prevention Coalition: The Addiction Prevention Coalition (APC) is a non-profit community resource that aims to eliminate addiction in Central Alabama. Originally named The Freedom Source, APC has been providing support for the greater Birmingham area for over a decade. 

Anxiety & Depression Association of America: ADAA improves the quality of life for those who suffer through evidence-based educational resources, professional practice, and scientific research.

ASPARC: Free QPR Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention Training. ASPARC is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization established to help prevent suicide in the state of Alabama through education, advocacy, and awareness.

Council on Substance Abuse: COSA is a private 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1973 to promote the understanding that alcoholism and other drug dependence are preventable and treatable diseases. 

Doors to Wellbeing: Doors to Wellbeing (D2W), a Program of the Copeland Center for Wellness and Recovery, is dedicated to peer-led initiatives and training supporting the peer support workforce.

Mental Health & Addiction Association of Oregon: MHAAO is committed to promoting self-directed recovery and wellness for all individuals. We honor lived experiences. We support people wherever they are on their journey, free from judgment, or agenda.

Mindspring Mental Health Alliance: Mindspring provides no-cost mental health education, support, and advocacy programs. All of Mindspring’s programs feature evidence-based curriculum and are available to all community members.
